Last time we mentioned that my simple XY table is not proprietary to my long-stroke drill press, it can be used on any drill press. Now we will take a radial-arm drill press as an extreme example, showing you how the simple XY table can be fitted into any ordinary drill press table. The pictures are very self explanatory, you can make your own XY table specifically fits your drill press according to these pictures.

Usually if you buy a table saw sanding disc, you can turn your table saw into a disc sander, but your job is often limited to woodworking. 本修改非常簡單, 僅需兩張圖就可以解釋清楚了. 在原來Y滑台上用紋釘槍(並上背膠)固定兩條夾板木條當作軌道, 中間裝一塊剛好大小的夾板可X向左右滑動, 將原來的鑽床虎鉗裝上此X桌板即可.
This is a very simple mod that I think 2 pictures will explain it clear enough. Simply add 2 plywood rails on top of the existing Y table(use titebond and brad nail gun to secure the rails), and cut a piece of plywood plate to fit snuggly into the rails of X direction. Re-attach the drill press clamp onto this new X table, and voila you got a simple XY-table for your long-stroke drill press.
